    Hi all.

I have an interview at the British Embassy in an Asian nation tomorrow. I have been told there will be a 40 minute exam, but nothing more.

I know there are many civil service exams, but as this is not for a program (i.e. Fasttrack) and for a specific (Marketing Assistant) role, I have no idea what exam they're referring to.

Has anybody got any experince interviewing to an Embassy directly (i.e. not through FCO programs) or just any guess on what kind of interview awaits?

Which country? (I live in Asia)

I have no direct experience but I will share my thoughts. I had an exam for a specific role within the civil service which was a mix of maths, english and problem solving as well as a typing exam.

As for the interview, it will most likely be for security. I met an employee of the US Embassy (in the Caribbean) and he had to inform his superiors every time he made a new friend.
