Hi, I am a gap year student from Portugal trying to get into medicine in the UK.

However, I was rejected by my 4 options and now UCAS says I have one more choice to add (because I only applied to med schools) but I don't know if unis will accept my application at this time of the year...

If it helps, I got 40 overall IB points with 6, 6, 6 on my HLs and 7, 6, 6 on SLs and 3 bonus points. My subjects were Biology, Chemistry and English B (HL) and Portuguese A1, Maths and Economics (SL).

I would appreciate any help, as right now, I have no idea on what to do except retake my bio and maths exams...

It is quite late for applications for September 2013 entry, and medicine courses don't tend to crop up in clearing, so I would probably advise working on your academic and personal profile and re-applying for September 2014 entry. This way, you could make sure you have lots of work experience and have your personal statement the best it could be.
    Best of luck

Whilst you can add another choice you cannot add a medicine choice. Is there another course that you'd like to do instead? You should be able to find a uni that will be accepting applications, but it depends what you want to do.

That's the problem, I don't really know on what course to apply because medicine is what I really want...

Thank you for your answer though!
