    What would you name a molecule with two CHO (aldehyde) groups, one on each end plus two OH's on two carbons in the chain. Say if it was a 4 Carbon skeleton.

    aldehydes on the terminal chains means you have a 1,4 configuration.

    1,4 butyraldehyde is one name.
    butan-1,4-al is another...

    SO I have, I just scanned through the OP, woops. In that case I would name it;
