    Hello

I applied for Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College. In late February i received an email in which they said (in a flowery way) that they had no spots in mech eng, but were going to accept me into Biomechanics. I said yes to all this and received an A*A*A offer.

Now, in the email they sent me they stated that should i be accepted this would not be a backdoor way into my old course choice. I do not want to do Bioeng, however accepted their change with the hopes that they will allow me to switch course after the 1st year.

I have an A*AA offer from Southampton for Mech Eng and this decision i have to make is a pretty difficult one.

My question is: What is the likelihood (in my state) that i can change course. What, considering the above, in your opinion would be the best course of action, Soton or Imperial?

    Much Appreciated
