Saas or england?

Hi Mark Lee,
I recieved two offers for uni,one in Huddersfield(England) and one in Edinburgh(scotland).
My question is if I choose to go to Edinburgh should I apply through SAAS or England finances?
I've been living in London for the past 3 years and I am EU student.

Hi Paul,

As you're an EU student you should apply to SAAS if you study in Edinburgh and SFE if you study at Huddersfield.

Hi again Paul,

If you have been resident in the UK for 3 years prior to 1 September 2013 then you can apply for the same student finance as an English national. This means that regardless of where in the UK you study you apply through SFE.

If you don't meet the 3 year residency requirement you will be funded as an EU national and you will need to apply for finance from whichever country you study in.
