I'm trying to save quite a lot of money, but I'm really confused with the interest rate.

Can someone let me know which bank would be the best for a student to save money in the UK?

    Thanks

It depends on what type of account you want and for how long you want to save your money for? You'd be alot better off going to your own bank and a few other and seeing what they offer rather than asking on here ..

Which is the best for you will depend on a number of things such as how much you will be saving and how often, if you want to be able to access any of the money and how soon you want it accessible. You can compare savings accounts on comparison sites (eg moneysupermarket) and I'd recommend checking current accounts too as the highest rate I could get was actually from a free current account. Be sure to click the "view all" at the bottom with moneysupermarket as the best account for me wasn't shown in the shortlist even though one with a really low interest rate was.
