    Hi there,

I am no longer at university as i decided to leave after my first year, but i just received a breakdown of student loan/grant from student finance, i thiunk this is because it is the end of the financial year soon. I was at uni in the 2011/2012 academic year and all my payments were made in that time period. But i looked at the breakdown and discovered that i have been paid an extra £59 on the 25th of march of this year and that has never been on my breakdown before. My birthday was on the 24th of march which was a sunday, so i am wondering, is this money i have been paid for my birthday as it was paid in on the first working day after my birthday.

    Thanks in advance,

    Richard Stone

    Hi Stone,

Your being paid the additional payment and your birthday being on the same day are just a coincidence (nice bday present though!). The additional payment may have been from a bursary from your university which would explain why it didn't show up on your letter.

You can check this with one of our advisers on 0845 300 5090.

    Thanks,
    Mark-Lee
