I'm going to complete my BSc (Hons) Construction Engineering & Management course this year. However I'm considering returning to university this September to complete a BEng Civil Engineering course.

I completed a placement year for my BSc course and found that I was extremely interested in Civil Engineering. The mathematical/technical side really appeals to me. I achieved a B in A-level Maths and don't feel my BSc course has challenged me mathematically.

Every construction firm has a construction division and a civil engineering division. I'm hoping that dual qualifications would enhance my employability.

I would be able to complete the BEng course within 2 years, due to my existing qualification.

Is this a wise move or am I wasting my time?
I'm 22, so would be 24 by the time I finish the BEng. Should I continue to 25 to gain a Master in Engineering (MEng) and become a Chartered Engineer? How difficult is it to become Chartered without completing a masters?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
