hellooo, i do A level french. my teacher advised me it would be useful if i watch some french tv channels and listen to the french radio.

i spent hours looking for tv channels on the internet since i dont have french channels on my tv. unfortunately, i found nothing which i could possibly use. i dont want to watch any news channels since it wouldnt be my level of french and french news channels are pretty much very boring. so does anyone know any french tv channels like cartoon network or cbbc?

i also tried looking for french radios and found nothing again. so anyone know any french radios like the cbbc radio podcasts?

Well, it will continue to not be your level of French, until you start watching them!

Try this website for radio: http://www.rfi.fr/lffr/statiques/accueil_apprendre.asp which has short passages of news with guiding questions and transcripts.

Also http://telematin.france2.fr/ - a breakfast TV program. The website has the archive of reports, classified by themes (culture, sport, health, technology, nature, employment...) going back years - loads of stuff.

french TV and music is generally pretty crap, but i like the morning show on NRJ, the rest of the time i just flick through the stations listening to english music or the few french songs i like. tbh the best radio stations to listen to chat where i am are the local ones rather than the big ones like NRJ, virgin, skyrock etc. so look out for some local channels. and then i would say the only french TV worth watching is the french news. what i do is watch english/american stuff i like with french dub and french soustitres... you can download it online.

France Inter has interesting programmes and good quality French. You can download their podcasts free off iTunes.

Skyrock FM (www.skyrock.fm) is what most young people listen to in France, that or NRJ (www.nrj.fr), these two are usually in competition with each other.
NRJ is more chart music and the variété francaise mainstream french pop, whereas Skyrock (which I prefer much more) focusses on rap, hip-hop and r'n'b. Both have their fair share of "talky" shows, mostly in the evenings or mornings.

    Enjoy
