I just received a phone call from a company whom I sent my CV to and they said they would like to have an informal meeting with me to discuss about job roles I want to do.

Is it necessary to dress smart for this meeting or can you wear casual clothes?

Yes, there's no such thing as an 'informal meeting' when you are talking to a possible employer. Informal just means they aren't making any commitment to you, ie there might not be a job. You should presume it is an interview, although there might be coffee, ie it won't be in a traditional, formal interview setting.

I would definitely dress formally. An informal chat is often a precursor to an interview.

Dress smart. It will show how much you want the job.

Showing a good first impression is important, so dressing smartly would certainly help.

ALWAYS be smart. No matter what the interview says, that's the best way to be.
