Hi, im struggling with student finance as my mum has changed her job in the past few months and her salary is different from last years.
I understand that it asks for last years income, is there any way for student finance to take into account that her occupation has changed??
    Thanks

    Hi Samantha,

Yes this will be possible if your Mum's income has decreased by 15% or more between the 11/12 tax year and the expected income of the 13/14 tax year.

If this is the case your Mum should still supply her 11/12 tax year's info on your application and then provide an estimate of her 13/14 income by completing a Current Year Income form.

These forms will be available to download from www.gov.uk/studentfinance in April.

    Hope this helps,
    Mark-Lee
