BA is bachelor of arts. BSc is bachelor of science. What you get awarded depends on whether you are studying an arts subject (e.g.english) or a science subject (e.g. maths). One is not better than the other.

In Oxford and Cambridge they don't Do BSc degree..even if ur studying maths or physics it'll still be callled BA MAths...

for economics, it is rumoured that bsc is 'more highly regarded' as it is more mathematically based, but hey i dont know whether its true or not.
