Cyber Sex

Right almost everyone that uses the Internet chatrooms is aware of the word cyber. Cyber is part of a link word saying "Cyber Space" which means of receiving messages to the Internet to your PC. However many will be aware the term of cyber chatting as a form of flirting, maybe light sexy exchanges of words. The big question as many that say that has done it, would say its harmless adult fun. To a point that is quiet right, as many would also say it's a form of safer way of having adult sex fun. However my reason in writing is to really try and understand with this chatting is it within the laws of the land or an illegal thing to do. Also as it in many ways deals with light sex chatting, does it fall into the normal laws of having sex here within the UK law on age? Of course readers outside the UK may not have the save ruling on age. So can any sort this matter out!

I'm confused as to what your question is.

If your question is: "is it ok to have cyber sex before you reach the age of concent" the answer is yes. To make cyber sex illegal for people under the age of 16 would contradict their freedom to speech.

yes its ok to chat but u cannot view images or stream video's of anyone under the age of consent otherwise considered child porn so its a fine line

Dare I even ask why you're enquiring? I'm with Zav, I can only imagine child protection issues being the problem.

Thank you all for your kind support to my question/forum topic. So I can gather young people underage of concent can carry out cyber sex as if they was 'doing it for real'. I am total in support of freedom, but I wonder if that rule right?

Your talking morals now right?

Suppose I am, so what your saying in this play roll acting ,having full sex ,but online is legal. And yet if they do in real person to person, touching etc it against the law!

You are allowed to talk until the cows come home. Once you start getting images of them naked either in the form of video or pictures then it becomes illegal. And as for physically doing anythign with them - that's quite obviously illegal. And the law tends to come down harder on boys if it is two underage people having sex.

To be fair, its hardly 'full sex' if the two people are sperated by several hundred miles of cable is it?

What if a peado met up with a kid in real life and say a load of dirty **** to them? Surely, this would not be allowed simply because of 'freedom of 'speech'.

I think for grow up's adults to perform Cyber, maybe cause they both know each well, and maybe that are miles apart from each other and can't do it together is cool. But I feel if I was doing it online to someone I throught I knew well. and found out it was a 13 year girl! I would feel well dirty!

I am in support of cyber sex, as good adult fun, but no way I feel should underage people be able to do it. Policing it is another matter maybe some has that answer!

Sex is a state of the mind.

Reply 14

As long as people enjoy it, life will go on.

Reply 15

On a parallel, isn't it illegal for a minor to engage in phone sex? What difference is there?

Turns into sexual harrassment / courting. That's illegal.

Wow think I started something. So if two people are 14 and 15, they can quiet within the law talk/filrt sex on any chatroom . Just for record are we all in support of it. Yeah I suppose its cool as long as the wrong people don't get young kids to leave there PC and meet etc......we all know what can happen then. Sorry to sound a killjoy!

Well, I can't say I'm exactly in support of it - I don't think it's a very cool or wise thing to do. But you can't stop them. The other problem is of course that kids are vulnerable to manipulation even without meeting up with people trying to groom them.

Thank you for your view Helenia, I suppose one should look it as an old fashion point. Ok cybering is within the law whatever age, fair enough adult can enjoy it. But adults can stop it, they can stop they child doing that thing. But yeah next but how, saying it's cool ,but putting in action may be other problem!.
