Firstly can I say I haven't yet decided on my firm and insurance choices, i've had a hard time choosing between Leeds Met and Liverpool Hope as my firm because they both want 300 ucas points, I think I prefer Leeds Met Uni but I generally prefer Liverpool as a city and I have family there.
I'm pretty sure Nottingham Trent is going to be my insurance at 260 ucas points.

SO now for the accommodation... I looked at opal 1/2 at the applicant days but I heard they fill up pretty quickly and I haven't read the greatest opinions on them but I thought they seemed okay! Any other suggestions? preferably with en-suite bathroom and possibly with parking facilities.

My course would be at broadcasting place and I know there is private accomodation there but I couldn't have the chance to look round so i'm anyone stays/has stayed there and could answer me a few questions that would be so helpful!!!

I'm from leeds, I am pretty sure that I am going to be firming leeds met after the amazing applicant day which I accidentally attended (long story) ... I have viewed Opal 1 & 2 and Sky Plaza and I've been considering iQ as well for my accommodation. My course is going to be at the city campus.

Opal 1 & 2 are not nearly as nice as they are outside on the inside, this pee'd me off so much, I was really looking forward to applying because I thought the rooms would be above average, however there is a really huge social scene at opal 1&2 which is incredibly appealing to me.
I took time to view Sky Plaza... OMG the rooms are heavenly, 100 times better than opal 1&2 the furniture is so elegant and modern, the room designs are beautiful! ...the only reason I am re-considering opal is because Sky plaza seems a bit ..dead.. Compared to opal for some reason.

Think I need to get booking soon then! Is it true that you have to pay £200 when booking for damages, or do you do that upon arrival in september?

I'm a first year at leeds met now, and I'm in Opal 2, if you're not too bothered about sometimes being kept awake for noise then its a good choice. Certain nights are more noisier than others, but during freshers there's soo many flat parties and its such a good place

    Hi Hannah,

My name is Frankie, I work for UNITE - we run The Plaza, I noticed your post and thought a response might be helpful.

NachoD is right, you can book The Plaza through our website http://bit.ly/16RnlGw and if you want to arrange a viewing you can do this on-line too.

Let me know if you have any questions and I'd be happy to help.

    Thanks,
    Frankie
