Hey, i have been given unconditional offers to study psychology at nottingham trent and a business psychology joint degree at hertfordshire, however i am having quite a large problem trying to choose. I understand it is my choice however i was wondering of people would like to give me some opinions and perhaps allow me to see things from a previously unthought of angle. A big problem as well is i cannot get to open days as i am not from the UK so any information regarding areas surronding would also be appreciated thanks in advance

You need to bear in mind the following things about Hertfordshire joint honours:
1) if you take psyhology it won't be a qualifying psychology degree unless you do additional training.
2) you can however choose a major/ minor from the second year so if you'd still like to study business this can remain 25% if your overall degree while you study for psychology. This also keeps your options open as you will also have the option of majoring in, or keeping your course 50% business.
As for the universities themselves my partner came with me to the Hertfordshire open day and we both liked it. He also studied at Nottingham Trent so it's a fair comparison.
Hope this is helpful xLast edited by RebeccaHerts; 28-03-2013 at 11:30. Reason: Spelling error

Sorry double checked the joint honours rules and you cannot major psychology. So this definitely needs to be taken into account when choosing. You'll come out with two completely different qualifications.

Just Psychology alone.
