Need Help With John's Gospel (AQA)

For A2, we are studying John's Gospel (AQA). We have just finished the discourses - frankly speaking, this is one of my main weaknesses.

I am better at signs.

With the discourses, I find it difficult to fully explain the themes I refer to and so the paragraphs come off as a bit vague.

I'm scared that the vagueness will affect my essays on signs.

Anyone willing to help me out?
