That's what I thought! But people don't usually share my fashion opinions...

I love dungarees. When I wear them, my brother looks at me like I am indeed a lesbian or a pregnant lady, but they're comfortable and they're cute. If you like them, then wear them.

Plus, they're in all the shops this season, so they can't be all that bad.

i love dungarees but I'm really picky about them :frown:

:ditto: Dungarees can look really bad with the wrong people/ attitude and all... I think you have to be confident about them and get a pair that suit you. That being said, those beige ones are much cooler than any of the ones i've seen lately!
I think they look ridiculous. IMO.

What is wrong with lesbians?!

If you like something, then wear it.Topshop had them all in not so long ago.

I have a pair from TopShop. Mooch ones, so they're quite baggy and very comfy.

Ok, i don't like the look. You wear them when you are stripping wallpaper, painting, decorating etc....it looks silly and out of context completely if it isn't used in this way IMO.

I've seen a woman wearing one on a childrens tv programme, it has child-like connotations - it's not a piece of clothing suitable for a girl in her late teens, twenties whatever...

Basically, buy and use them when doing DIY but fashion? I'm afraid not...it looks totally cringeworthy.

Quite a few reasons leading me to the belief that it looks absurd. It seems you don't agree. It would humour me if i saw (a) women wearing it/them, they look so stupid and so out of context, that if i was with friends et al, we'd be pissing ourselves and cracking all kinds of jokes...I'm afraid it's a huge no-no. You'll start slagging me off now for providing this opinion but it's my opinion and that's what forums are all about!

Wizard, what if I was to wear it with the flap down, like in the 2nd photo? Is that better?
Reply 14
Denim dungarees should be worn flap down only. Those ones dont look too bad up in my opinion, but i dont think they should be worn like that.

Yes. It's the top part to it, that really 'put's me off my dinner'. I think the top part in the 1st picture looks hideous, it wouldn't look as such if it was in the context you associate dungarees with, and that is in the DIY context. I just don't think it looks good, it's not a good look, it's not sexy....IMO

I've already got a bf and he says he doesn't mind, so I should be OK?

Maybe he's lying, he doesn't want to hurt your feelings? I don't know, maybe he does find them a turn on, but i can't honestly believe that a majority of men do think they look cool on women. I think they look absurd.
