I'm a little stuck and I was wondering whether TSR could help me out.

I was recently asked to write a short piece for someone's business via the internet. We agreed on a (very fair) price, and I completed the article.

I then sent the individual an email with a short extract of the piece (to prove I'd done it) and asked him to send the money through paypal, so I can send over the completed document. Only he hasn't emailed me back yet when he's usually pretty fast with communication. I've got a feeling I won't be paid, which is crap because I put a lot of effort into said work.

Does anyone know if I could go about getting the money? Its tricky because its not like opening a case on ebay, everything was agreed via email. The dude is also from Italy, so I'm limited to email/ linkedin communication.

    What can I do?

The thing is, he runs the company so complaining wouldn't do much good. Luckily I haven't given him the full article, so he hasn't gotten anything from it. I've just wasted my time and a lot of effort:mad:

    Just to update this:

After two weeks of daily emails to the individual, only the threat of publicly naming and shaming got a reply, and finally, payment.

Although I won't do business with them again, case closed

He's from Italy, that should have been you're first clue that you were dealing with a scumbag.
