I know everyone seems to get it to an extent, but I absolutely hate when people eat and I can hear every chew or lick or slurp or ugh. I don't know why, I try to calm myself down but everything just builds up until I leave the situation or start crying just because I get so angry!
It is so annoying and I'm pretty sure this is more than just a 'pet peeve'. I've looked online and think it might be 'Misophonia' but whatever it is, there doesn't seem to be a proper solution...
This can also really affect me in when I'm doing work at home and at school e.g if I'm sitting next to someone making weird sounds like this I simply cannot concentrate. In one of my January exams I was sitting next to someone who was chewing gum and wanted to just burst into tears but thankfully they stopped after a while. I would like to get this sorted before my summer exams.
I know this is kind of weird and probably something I should just 'deal with' but it's so hard

It might sound crazy, but try listening to it more, that way you might just get used to it and accept it. There's no way you can avoid it forever so you'll justv have to find your own way to deal with it. If it's that bad then talk to your doctor and he might reccomend a few solutions?

oh my. i cant stand eating noises either!!! there is nothin much you can do. I mean you could wear ear plugs but that would be a bit silly I suppose. I just try and concentrate on talking/eating and having a fun conversation that distracts me from all the noises
