Every year Oxfam recruits voluntary Stewards for major Music Festivals - the Festivals pay a donation to Oxfam and you work as a volunteer.

You have to be 18 or over. No previous experience is necessary.

    See http://www.oxfam.org.uk/stewarding/what-is-stewarding for more details.

This looks great. Might see if theres any that I can get to this year. I applied for a festival last year through hotbox but then had to work.

They also need people to help out at other fundraising events like Fun Runs etc : http://www.oxfam.org.uk/get-involved...us/at-an-event. So do Race for Life : http://raceforlife.cancerresearchuk....ife/index.html

I cant run (childhood arthritis), so try to help out in other ways - booking people in, pinning on numbers, stewarding people to the right areas, 'encouraging', cheering etc etc. The atmosphere is always lovely, you feel you've contributed something - and for those of you trying to fill out your CV a bit, this sort of thing shows you in a very positive light. Its also amazing fun!

I'll be on my own too! It'll be my first time stewarding with Oxfam and my first real festival tbh. Camping will be an interesting experience lol have you stewarded before?
