# AQA biology past paper questions watch

1. hey all
Im retaking unit 1 bio in summer and im going over all the past papers again.
there are a couple of questions im still stuck on...

The first part of the question you have to calculate the heart rate which is 85.7- which i could do. the second part you have to calculate the cardiac output using the heart rate- the mark scheme says the answer is 7905. how do you get that from the table and heart rate?
I know this should be a simple question but its ages since i did unit 1

Time / s Volume of blood / cm
3
0.0 125
0.1 148
0.2 103
0.3 70
0.4 56
0.5 55
0.6 98
0.7 125

another question is- a triglyceride molecule is formed by condensation, by how many molecules was this triglyceride formed?

This sounds stupid but do you need to count off the diagram or is this simply a recall question? once again, ages since i did unit 1 ha ha
I also got my paper back, and i made all my mistakes in the how science works questions. i thought i had these covered and was going to do well...how do i revise for how science works? for january i did all the past papers and that obviously didnt work

thanks guys

Count or recall the answer should be the same.
Key words and terms are important for HSW

As for the calculation:
Cardiac output = Stroke Volume x Heart Rate
Stroke Volume = End diastolic volume -End diastolic volume
=> Stroke volume = 148-55 = 93
Cardiac output = 93 x 85.7 = 7970.1
