It's a good idea to have it - I got mine free at my University doctors with a signed letter from my course saying it was recommended. Saying that, it depends what service users you'll be working with on placement etc. as some areas are much more high risk for Hep B than others.
You might not need to start again, your doctor might take a blood test to see if the course has given you any immunity at all and then decide whether to start again or just have a booster.
