I want to adopt a dog and in May/June I have GCE exams hoping Glasgow university takes me, I live in Greece and I don't know much about the rules, pros and cons of having a pet in UK, so I hope you can fill up on that particular problem I face...

As an undergraduate will I find a flat to rent where pets are permitted and what are the costs???

In general the pros and cons!

    Thank you in advance!!!

I doubt they will allow pets on campus but, rules vary off campus.
However, be prepared to pay more in terms of rent.

    Good luck whatever you chose!

Don't forget though, if it will be just you in the flat/house then he will be on his own for a fair portion of the day and given you have to sleep AND have to revise, I don't know if you will be able to give him/her the time a pet requires.

If however those aren't a problem, then by all means do it!

I don't worry about my studies, because I'll find a balance somewhere in between.
The thing that worries me is finding a flat or apartment with pets allowed.

It's difficult from Greece to find a house in Glasgow!

I think it's a bad idea. As a first year I barely had time to fit everything in as it was: social life, lectures, homework, revision, keeping in touch with family at home...

I understand it will be difficult, but let's say I accept these problems, will I be able to find a flat with pets allowed????

Would it really be fair on the animal though?
I'd say it'd be very difficult to find a student rental that would accept pets, but not impossible. You'd also have to consider that you won't be able to afford a place of your own and will be sharing with other students. Why don't you just wait a few years?

    I see, I guess you're right.
