Depends on what the regulations are...

    However
    - cushions
    - fairy lights
    - candles (so long as you don't light them)
    - lanterns
    - wall stickers
    - canvases (so long as there is a nail already in situ)
    - throws
    - nice duvet cover
    - ornaments
    - new lampshade (if it is possible to change it; obviously put the old one back if you leave).

posters and use whitetac. You may/ may not be allowed fairy lights. I'm not allowed in my room, well, the contract says we're not allowed them. We're also not supposed to have rice cookers - theres two in my flat...

That's a great list. I think you can do so much with a few touches, like cushions for example, some bright colours can really make a room. Little lights are so nice as well.

Personal Room should reflect your individuality but not of course scream of it, as it would distract your studies. Colour of Room inspires you to work, something bright and vibrant but it should not too bright.

The above given list is great. I want to add one more thing to it i.e. Fireplace. www.hotprice.co.uk may help with that.

If you got a pin up board in room, put pictures and posters up. That's what am going to do. Going to put a bunch of pictures of my hobbies on my board. Plus photos of my boyfriend.
