Hello TSR, I am relatively new to shaving as I've been using an electric trimmer for two years and only started shaving a few weeks ago. A recurring problem is that whenever I shave I just can't seem to shave the hairs off my chin properly. I use gillette disposable razors and I always soften the hair with hot water first and also apply shaving gel. I never shave against the grain but am finding it very difficult to remove the hair from my chin or moustache. I don't want to press too hard because apparently that will damage my skin so I always end up having to use scissors to finish up the job. Any tips?

Are you serious? you have a razor? just glide upwards from bottom to top on the face and neck then along the jaw line... not hard.

You can go against the grain just go with it first. I've always done that and never cut myself (unless I've been using a blunt razor...).

Going against it isn't a bad thing if you're careful. You need to do it anyway to get rid of the little stubbly bits.

It's not difficult, but you could just stick to your electric razor...

Why not go against the grain, just take care?
