With the rise of micro-blogging platforms such as Twitter we've seen that there's a huge demand for fast-paced discussions that don't necessarily need to include detailed examples or references, which at times can slow things and make the discussion less approachable. We're therefore delighted to announce the launch of the Micro-debating forum!

This forum will be dedicated to short-form posts, in which you must limit yourself to 140 characters, following the limit applying for Twitter. Due to delays in the development of a character limit on posts, any post that exceeds 140 characters will be liable to be removed by the moderation team. Please also bear in mind the spirit of the forum - spreading an extended comment over several consecutive posts will not be appropriate. Most word processing applications will have a function allowing you to check the number of characters in a string of text, but here's a website offering a simple alternative.

To kick things off the moderation team have worked to populate the forum with threads for a selection of popular topics, but please feel free to post your own discussion threads - so long as you keep to the 140-character restriction. We hope that everyone enjoys taking part in what we see as an exciting new development for TSR!
