so ive been talking to my friends about this, theyre all pretty much of the opinion that it is a bad idea. reasons such as its dark, noisy, cant talk etc.
but i think the girl in question would enjoy it (practically identical music taste) and we could always go out to eat, the journey there will take about 1/2 hour each way as well= time to talk.

do you think this is a good idea? how do i show her that it's a date, not just hanging out? cheers.

Do it it's always nice to know what someone else enjoys and as you say, you can anyways go for a drink afterwards. If it's just you two it'll soon become clear that you want it to be a date.

    Great idea.

Shows you like her taste of music. Also shows you've paid attention to know her taste in music.

That second part is probably the most meaningful.

    Go for it kid.

Nice to see a date which isn't sameish as other dates people go on, go for it, she'll enjoy it

If you're sure she'll like the music go for it! Plus at all the concerts I've been to, doors open 6:30 but the main act isn't on until 9, plenty of time to chat, drink and then when they come on, dance

As for how to make it clear it's a date, 'Hey, I got 2 tickets to ... wondered if you wanted to go with me? ...Like a date' Done.

What? A bad idea? Come on!
That's a brilliant idea. Nothing better than enjoying a live concert with someone! Perfect for avoiding any awkwardness and having fun sharing interests, building a strong first impression.

I think it's a good idea, especially if you know she'll like it, although I can kind of see why your friends would say it's not. I would think of it more as a friends hanging out thing though unless you made it clear it was a date. things like going for dinner/ drinks, physical contact while out or the fail safe, just tell her you like her

Sure way into the friend zone. Remember I said it.

Reason being you'll basically minimising time that could be spent building her attraction towards you.

Obviously girls will say its a great idea, that's one way to be certain it's a stupid idea. These girls will probably also say they want a loving, caring guy and all that crap, as if it's short on supply.

Men that are successful with women know that generally, what they say they want, and what they actually want, are two different things.

    Don't do it man.

Good point, but not always strictly true it depends on the situation...and level of interest the datee has for music.

i would go for it!! the best way to take a girl out is to plan sthg with which she will feel comfortable. good for you if you dont want to the typical things (ie movie and dinner).
