We should be organ donors by default, not "non-donor" by default? watch

  • View Poll Results: Should everyone be an organ donor by default, requiring them to opt-out if they wish?
Yes, people should be donors by default and you can opt-out if you wish
No, people should be non-donors by default and opt-in

I would make it mandatory to be a donor.

What kind of person would prefer their organs to rot in the ground than save someone else?

I think organ donation is brilliant and I'm on the register myself but I don't think the state should have automatic rights to your organs. They're yours!
But do you really need them when you're dead? Not really. I mean, otherwise they'll just end up as chowder for hungry hungry microorganisms (or a pile of ash). And what a waste that is!

Anyway, they'd still be an option to bail out if you had reasons to be against it. And that's the important part - keeping it optional. So I personally think it would be a great thing to do and help save many many lives

Good idea; I would gladly donate my organs. I don't want to be buried or incarcerated when I die - let someone have my organs, they need it more than my dead body.
However, if the government issued this regulation, then there will be people opposing to the idea. I guess its a complicated issue for some, but an agreeable solution to others.

But yeah, I would fully support this idea.
