I am a final year Bsc Accounting at a top 50 uk uni expecting a 2.1. I got an offer for this LLM at Warwick and would like to know something more an hope yous can give me some constructive advice or anything at all!
1) I know Warwick is a very good uni but is the law degree as good as the other business ones?
2)how about the employment side of this course? My plan is to work in the accounting field (hopefully the big 4) so is this degree more beneficial to me in terms of qualification only? I notice that I can claim most exam exemptions from professional bodies (F1-9 for acca for example) so doing a Msc in Accounting won't give me too much new knowledge except it looks good on my CV!
3) is this course relate more close to law or acc/fin? I think this corporate governance knowledge is not too popular currently but will be in 3-5 years time especially in east Asia where I want to work! So study this LLM plus some western work experience after could enhance my employability, am I right?
P.s the other thing I worry about is whether such a combination (my Bsc & this LLM) would be viewed as valuable in the near future. I am probably taking some risk as I am an student with very minor law background, so please tell me more about this course and most importantly the career side of it both in uk and elsewhere if possible!
Thank you very much!
