    State, with a reason, the empirical formula of poly(propene).

    Any help much appreciated. The mark scheme says:

    CH2 -the repeat unit since polymer made by addition reaction. I do not understand what this means.

    The monomer in polypropene is C3H6.

    In its simplest forms this is CH2.

    Oh and the reaction to form Polypropene is from many propene molecules. Which is called addition polymerisation
