    Hi all,

I have already got an offer from my chosen university but after looking more in depth about course structure I want to study another degree instead of my original choice.

It is in the same department and the entry requirements are exactly the same. Plus the 1st year is common for all the students.

How do I go about this? Do I call them up on results day and ask? Is there any chance I could swap?

    Thanks in advance,

You can call them now. If they still have spaces they may consider you. I'd try now instead of just waiting until August.

However, I spoke to a Uni about how they go about this and they said its quite common so they do give students the option to change within the first few weeks.

However, it would depend how competitive your course is and the University itself.

This was posted from The Student Room's iPhone/iPad App

yeah often people have the oppourtunity to change courses depending if there are any spaces,
however for competitive courses like medicine ect it would be difficult as they usually need an interview (except southampton)
