    Hi TSR,

    AS Level English Language
    AS Level Psychology
AS Level History (Tudors and Stuarts)
    AS Level Geography
    AS Level French

Are these okay choice if I do not want to go to university? And please nobody comment on the 5 AS's, as I will be dropping 2 of them for A2,

Depends on what you want to do and where you want to go. Overall, they could be better.

I agree with Jimbo that it depends entirely on what universities and what subjects you're looking at studying. I know that *some* of the more 'academic' institutions will frown upon Eng Lang and Psychology because there are many schools where it is taught poorly / seen as an easy way to get an A - but of course that depends on your school, the exam board you're sitting, etc.

What are you looking to do after A Levels?

Thankyou for your reply, after my A Levels ill be doing a Level 3 Apprenticeship, in Business Adminstration. Im only really doing A Levels just incase I chose to go to university in a few years. I know English Literature is more respected by universities, but in terms of employment, i think (and judging on previous application forms) employeer always ask for English langugae grades not literature so surely Language would be a better subject in this respect?

In that case I agree, for a apprenticeship in business administration English Language would be a better choice.

Literature would still show a good understanding of the language, but if it's not something you actively enjoy you'd probably struggle through it for two years and would get a higher grade in Eng Lang then in Eng Lit.

If you're doing these five A-levels, think to yourself 'why am I picking these subjects?' is it simply because they look good because of the diversity or is it because you enjoy them?

PS: my Sixth Form only allows people to do either 4 or 3 AS's. Could I ask how you were allowed to do 5? I think that's extraordinary!!
