What's the definition of a group homomorphism?

A homomorphism is a function φG,o) → (H,*) which has the property

φ(g1 o g2) = φ(g1) * (g2), for all g1, g2 ∈ G

I just can't seem to to be able to apply it in this instance

So, let w,z be elements of G.

What's ?
