    hello , I'm 17 years old , I've been in London before 7 months I came in October so I was late to do GCSE's when I'm 16 , so I'm applying in this year ( 2013 ) , First of all I wanna ask if I can do GCSE's and I'm 17 , secondly what subjects I have to do [ I wanna study A level in the college after doing the GCSE's , in the A level I wanna study 4 subject ( biology , Chemistry , physics , Mathematics ) ] so I wanna ask what GCSE's I have to do and for how long , shall i do it in 1 year or 2 years ? is that possible to do it in 1 year ?

    the course is two years and i believe you have to study 10 subjects at GCSE and get 5 A*-C's to get into college I think

    Hey,

    It is possible to do courses in 1 year but I wouldn't recommend it as you'll have too much work to do. Most colleges ask for 5 A*-C including english and maths, and then other requirements depending on the A-level you take. So looking at what a-levels you want to do, you'll have to do maths, the 3 sciences (try to do triple science = 3 gcses) and english. If you choose to do your gcses over 2 years then I suggest doing some other subjects like geography (a lot of science aspects in geog) or history.
