Have a Google around. Some banks offer insight days/pre-internships ranging from a day to three days for A-Level students

Credit Suisse also offer a full-on scholarship programme with a four week internship! Don't think applications open for that for a while now though.

Well its already happened, it was the Social mobility's foundations main program, which gets you a mentor and a internship which varies. They still got their residential program which closes very soon, one is for JP Morgan and you spend 2 weeks in the international halls, fun evenings, etc but it comes with requirements.

Other then that, apply for insight days or try and use family contacts to get a small internship.

Nah, it's probably not on there because they just took on some people. I think they re-open for that programme around October/November. For the others if you type in...

'Bank x pre-internship/pre-university/insight/a-level programmes' one of those will return something.

Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, RBS, Nomura, Morgan Stanley, HSBC all run something in that form off the top of my head. I think JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and HSBC are still open to applications
