    Currently have a Fjuifilm Finepix J20, which I've had for almost 4 years now. The battery has pretty much gone and I don't have a charger for it. According to dad, it's just as cheap to buy a new camera.

    I know very little about cameras. I only want something to take photos and to allow me to connect (either via USB or memory card) it to my computer to upload photos. Would prefer something that's not touchscreen.

    I don't need something like a DSLR. A compact digital will do.

    Are there any brands I should avoid? I don't need anything like a printer with it, which my parents old Kodak came with.

    Would rather not spend more than £100 on a camera.

    I always buy Canon cameras, have a look at the IXUS ones.
