    Hi all

I've got offers for Veterinary Medicine (D100) from both Cambridge and RVC. I was wondering if any current students on this course at these Unis could tell me how the courses compare. I'm particularly interested in rumors I've heard that Cambridge vet students do a lot more theory and less practical than other vet schools.

    Cheers

If you use the 'search' function or look through the current 2013 thread I think someone did a pro and cons list for RVC in there

Re: practical stuff at Cambridge I also have an offer and it's something I've been quite worried about so I've done a bit of research on it - I think I've reassured myself now though.

It sounds like there's a reasonable amount of practicals especially dissections in the first year though I don't really know how that relates to RVC...
I asked one of the lecturers about it on the open day and he openly admitted that yes there is less animal handling stuff in the first few years but that it's more than made up for later on in the clinical years (there's like an RSPCA clinic that the vet students basically run from 4th year onwards (supervised!) )
