    Hi everyone

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I wanted to know how far is the sea from the train station in southend? I am going to travel from London, take the C2C. Going for the day and really want to see the sea. Anyone been there?

Southend is cold, windy and full of arcades.

The sea is unpleasantly grey and full of broken glass and muck. There's no proper sand, just stones and shells.

It depends which train station you're travelling in to, but it's not a particularly long walk from either. Half hour max.

However, they do offer some really nice doughnuts, candyfloss and chips, they're worth it.

I live half an hour from there btw.
