Did anybody watch the first two episodes on Friday? I'm actually really disappointed Was hoping for a more Jericho-style show but It's skipped about five years from the power going out.

Anyone know if it's going to get better?

I actually really enjoyed it, seeing how the anarchic-style dystopia plays out - I can't wait until the next episode!

I would assume that, after watching the first two episodes, the gap in between the power going out and the present day will be filled in as the series goes along and will highlight some of the important events that show character development, changes in affairs, the rise of the Monroe Republic etc.

Yeah I do think there is a lot of potential there - I would just prefer the story in a more chronological style. Never mind though, I am looing forward to finding out how everything came about and I do hope we eventually find out why the power went out!

I get the feeling that we won't know why the power went out until the next series (assuming there will be one). I agree about the chronological style though and although I'm a huge fan of getting stuck straight into the story, I think they jumped into the main plot a bit too quickly and could have spent more time exploring some of the time within the 15 year gap as you've said.
