My ideal girl is an intelligent book-y introvert, perhaps a violinist. It seems impossible to come across this type though. The vast majority of women I meet in social places where it's acceptable to approach women are either just one dimensional air heads or just not my type.

Violinists will play at orchestra recitals.
    Attend orchestra recitals.
Approach instrumentalists at the end of recital "Oh, you were really good blah blahblah"

Book-reading people will be found in libraries, bookshops, study rooms... and maybe cafeterías reading a book?
Honestly, these people also lead normal lives, so can also be found in normal socialising areas, such as say, a canteen, on campus etc.

I am not saying this as a joke .... But match.com

A friend if mine is the most geekiest nerd ever who wants to find someone like Leonard from Big Bang. Wellllll eve went on 3 dates and found the guy and have been together since dec 2012. Can't really see them breaking up either .... I used to think weirdos are on dating websites but she explains to me.... A lot of ppl when they reach their working Age ie 21 and above ... Sometimes it's hard to meet that someone when there aren't that many opportunities to bump into them

you shouldn't go out looking for a girls with the mindset that she must be a "bookworm who plays the violin" just go with it and you'll meet someone you like. People who play instruments and read books go to the pub and socialise too you know, we don't all live in the library 24/7
