On my notes for the Ontological Argument I have wrote that it is analytic but I've stupidly forgot what analytic means and I can't find a definition I understand anywhere! So would anyone please be able to explain what is meant by an argument being analytic and why the Ontological argument is analytic?

Analytic means that the conclusion that God exists, comes from premises which are supposed to derive from some source other than observation of the world—e.g., from reason alone. Therefore it is also an apriori argument.
