    Hello guys!

I've got a problem! I was doing this past paper question, but me & the mark scheme disagreed a lot! I don't know, what they've done, but I'm sure I've been doing the right stuff.. Anyways, I've added the question, my response & mark scheme answer here:
If you could have a look, and see where my errors are, that would be ace.

    Cheers in advance!

One error is at the line 2.2=11p

What happened to the "g" from the line before?

That's sufficient to resolve the issue I think.

Oh... I'm such a noob haha!

    Cheers, once again my saviour!

PS: What is the mark scheme doing? Same answer, but it has a weird way of resolving than what we normally do (it's resolving horizontally/vertically instead of perp/parallel to plane)
    Oh well lol

I haven't looked at it but you can resolve in any pair of directions so long as they are perpendicular.

Haaa! I just did this question!

    http://examsolutions.net/a-level-mat...5&solution=5.2 - here's the solution.

You solve it simultaneously. So as you solve perp to plane, and let R = 1.1gcos(alpha) +Psin(alpha) put it in the other equation where you solve parallel to the plane.. and solve it!

    Good luck.
