I have a dell inspiron 580s and I want to upgrade the hard drive. Can I upgrade with a non-Dell brand hard drive like

When it comes to things as basic as HDDs you can pretty much use any manufacturer :yy: If it's a laptop you're upgrading, however, bare in mind that will need a 2.5" drive, not a 3.5".

Yeah its fine...........its Dell's way of conning you out of money by putting their name on it

Also that won't fit, thats 3.5 inch, laptops are 2.5 inch HDD's, so costs can increase........other issues is reinstalling everything, OS, etc. So also consider a external HDD
