    Hi,
I am currently on the Access to Higher Education course and had planned on going to university this year, but unfortunately I am having an issue finding a way to verify my identity with student finance to get my loans. I do not have a passport only a birth certificate so i need to find someone who can countersign my declaration. I am having trouble finding someone suitable to verify my identity since I cannot use traditional methods. I do not think I can use my doctors since I have not been ill enough to see them in over a decade, I am not with a dentist and I only have just recently registered with an opticians. I do not think I know someone with a suitable job that can verify my identity. I have a friend who has got a degree in English and works as a teaching assistant and I also know a retired merchant navy officer who would happily sign the document but I not sure if they would be suitable. Other than this I have no one. Could you please advise me of my options? Thank you.
