    No, different chromosomes have different genes. You have 23 pairs of each chromosome (one from your mother and one from your father).

    doesn't that mean that there is a slight probability that when the homologous pair of chromosomes form, they could be missing certain alleles.

    When homologous pairs form, they dont miss the alleles that are not actually a pary of them.
