    Take a look at this video of a 16yr old speaking rudimentary knowledge of 20 languages. He is practicing them all at the moment, at school or at home, and is perhaps not exactly perfect in some of them, but it is still very, very impressive:

    Ah, I've seen this before! It's awesome, I'd love to be a polyglot some day!! If I could even speak half that number of languages... you have no idea how happy I'd be!

    Also, I can't believe he's learnt Hausa for only three months!!! :eek: He is amazing at it! And the German he's only learnt for around 2 months!!!

    Jealous and then there's me with Spanish, French and mandarin and as I much as I love them.... It's going to take more than a year to become fluent

    While it's nice that he's doing something which he appears to love, I'm not sure well-publicised examples like his are healthy for language-learning in general. Mastering a language - including being able to read the most significant literature in the language - is deeply rewarding in a way that learning some basic sentence structures in a dozen languages is not. But the latter makes a more interesting YouTube video, unfortunately.
