    On question 3 I can do parts A and B but for C I don't understand what to do, and the mark scheme didn't seem very helpful.

    Choose a suitable interval, given that you require the answer to 3dp, and show that there is a change of sign in the usual way.

    Which part do I sub the two values into? Everything I've tried has come up with two positive values:dontknow:

    And I picked the values for x as 2.5045 and 2.5055, which gives two positive answers

    You haven't got the correct f(x) on that page.

    f(x) = \ln(x+2) - x + 1

    This is how they got that iteration formula btw.
