Ask for a sticker before you go in.
I went with my mate to the dentist last week cos he said it wouldnt take long...but it did.
And hes 16, and he still asks for that really childish sticker.
Tell the dentist you want one, and then the dentist will feel really awkward around you.
And then you will just have to withstand being awkward.
Then you won't be that scared.
Plus, if they break your teeth or anything, you can sue them
    But hopefully they won't :P

My dentist has a tv in the room. So I just sit there and try to watch tv to distract my self.
In case yours don't have a tv, think about your life. What have you done wrong. Pray that everything will be ok. God will ease the pain for you

Ah, dental anxiety! The bane of all honest, hard-working dentists!

I'd suggest just telling your dentist that you're feeling particularly anxious, so that they can try and accommodate for that by being extra slow and gentle.

If you go to a hospital dentist you can get sedated if you want.
