# C2 Logarithms - WHERE HAVE I GONE WRONG watch

I have this question
Hence, or otherwise, solve the equation:

On the mark scheme, I think it's using answers from part a. But, I don't get why I'm wrong? Surely I'm still mathematically correct?

'Fraid not.

Log 3 +log x^2 = log 3x^2

You can't just antilog the sum of two logs, one bit at a time into 3 + x^2
