Incase anyone doesn't know 'MEMS' stands for Micro Electro Mechanical Systems.
Im in my second year atm studying at newcastle university mechanical engineering and whilst applying for internships etc. I've been made an offer to work abroad on MEMS, an industry i had never considered working in.

Id love to move abroad and work for a year but how well will this experience stand if i decide to go into a different industry in future, say after graduating.

Also anyone here worked or working with MEMS?
Have you ever experienced racism/sexism at uni?
